Terms of service.
What you’re agreeing to when you use publisherfriendly to generate a book.
Who you’re contracting with
These terms are an agreement between you and PublisherFriendly (“we”), operated by Abdülkadir Altan, Türkiye, reachable at [email protected]. They are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.
Your account
Sign-in is handled by Clerk. Signing in for the first time creates your account automatically — there is no separate signup form, and it starts you on the Free plan with that plan’s monthly credit grant. Clerk verifies who you are; everything else about your account (your credit balance, your jobs, your generated files) is ours to keep and is described below.
Credits and plans
The current plans and what each grants are listed on /pricing. Credits do not expire once granted. If a book generation fails after credits were reserved for it, those credits are returned to your balance automatically — see Refunds on the pricing page for exactly when and how.
Payment
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the merchant of record for all our orders: it takes the payment, charges the sales tax and issues the receipt. Card numbers and other payment details are entered directly into Paddle’s checkout and never pass through or touch this server. After a purchase our server receives a signed notification of the order or subscription; the few card details it can carry (type, last four digits, expiry, holder’s name) are dropped before anything is stored.
If Paddle processes a refund on your order, the credits that purchase granted are removed from your balance in the same amount, recorded against that refund event.
What is generated and stored
When you generate a book, we store the settings you chose, the generated interior PDF (and cover PDF, if you make one), and — for word search books — the underlying word lists a model produced, so the same book can be reprinted with different formatting without generating different words. This is what makes your library and the “adjust and reprint” feature possible.
Stored files are kept for as long as your account is open. Write to [email protected] and we delete them within 30 days. Download links are re-signed and expire a short time after they’re issued for security, but the underlying file is not deleted on that schedule.
Ownership of what you make
You own the books you generate. Nothing in this service claims any right to the interiors, covers, titles, or text you produce — you’re free to publish, sell, and list them on Amazon KDP or anywhere else as your own work.
Cryptogram puzzles draw their quotes from a bank of traditional, public-domain proverbs and aphorisms written specifically for this project — content deliberately chosen to be safe to publish, with no third-party rights attached.
Amazon KDP acceptance
Every file is measured against Amazon’s published KDP interior and cover specification before it’s handed to you — trim size, margins, bleed, spine width, and embedded fonts are all checked against that spec. That is a statement about what we verify, not a guarantee: whether Amazon accepts a given upload is Amazon’s decision alone, and we do not control it.
Rate limits
Each plan caps how many jobs you can run per hour, per day, and at once — the current limits per plan are on /pricing. These exist to keep the service responsive for everyone on it.
